A WOMAN has won £250 in shopping vouchers after signing up to a new reward scheme.
Toni Finn, a lunchtime supervisor at Ayresome School, Middlesbrough, was the first winner to receive the top prize of £250 in vouchers for shops in the town's Cleveland Shopping Centre.
She had joined the centre's reward scheme, which was launched last month and which has more than 1,500 members.
"When I got the letter to say I had won, I was so surprised. I've never won anything in my life before," said Mrs Finn.
"The vouchers will come in really handy because my daughter is expecting her first baby any day now. The reward card is a great idea to involve and reward regular shoppers."
The card entitles shoppers who spend more than £10 at the shopping centre to enter a monthly prize draw to win shopping vouchers totalling £500.
Coincidentally, Mrs Finn's cousin, Fiona Spriggs, from Middlesbrough, was one of 15 loyalty cardholders from Teesside to win a runner-up prize of £10
