HUNDREDS of children enjoyed a day off yesterday after storms left them without power.
Five schools across the south of County Durham were without power, but all are expected to reopen today.
They were Ferryhill Comprehensive, Staindrop Comprehensive, Cockfield Primary, Hutton Henry C of E Controlled Primary and The Meadows special school at Spennymoor.
