GOLFERS in north-west Dur-ham will tee off in aid of charity next month.
Teams from 20 businesses will take part in the tournament at Slaley Hall, Northumberland, on Friday, July 4.
The event has been organised by Consett accountants, Murray and Lamb and co-sponsored by Barclays Bank, which has agreed to match any funds raised up to £1,000.
Proceeds will go to Stanley theatre group, Snug.
This is the second year the tournament has taken place. Last year, it raised £1,600 for Villa Real School, in Consett.
l Snug will mark its 13th anniversary with a night of music from Westlife to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The concert takes place at the Empire Theatre, Consett, on Friday, at 7.15pm. For tickets or details, call the box office on (01207) 218171.
