BROTHERS Nigel and Steve Mitchell celebrated a double 25th wedding anniversary.
The pair, who live in Middleton-in-Teesdale, spent a year planning their double celebration, which involved a huge marquee at Stotley Grange boarding kennels
Nigel and Steve Mitchell were married to Gill and Christine, respectively, a week apart in June 1978.
Nigel and Gill were married in Middleton-in-Teesdale Methodist Chapel, and Steve and Christine in Alston, Cumbria, Christine's birthplace.
Nigel is a paramedic and Steve and Christine run Raine's hardware shop in Middleton-in-Teesdale.
In lieu of presents, the couples requested donations to diabetes UK and Darlington Memorial Hospital, and £600 was raised for each cause.
