DURHAM'S Wendy Dunn had a worthwhile journey to the Northern Dartmoor Show at Osbaldeston when she came home with the supreme championship in-hand, writes Malcolm Bewsher.
She won with the 12-year-old Hisley Diplomat, bred in Devon by Ann Jones.
Trisha Roberts took the senior stallion ahead of Redmire's Jane Moore showing Shilstone Rocks North Countryman.
Diplomat was the stallion champion and overall male champion besides having two second places in the working hunter classes, ridden by Wendy's daughter.
Diplomat's nine-year old daughter Langfield Beth, shown by David Hinde, was reserve supreme.
This combination, which had taken the mare and overall female championship, was also supreme champion at the NPS Area 5 show.
Diplomat also took the progeny points award with many of his offspring winning, including Anne Rigby's four-week-old colt foal Dykes Alpimead, which won the open foal and was reserve foal champion.
Samantha Jackson, the NEDEE secretary, took top honours in the NPS Freithi intermediate qualifier on Bijou Bernie Baru, by Diplomat out of Breamish Bianca, and was also runner-up in the open dressage.
