A DRIVER who had pleaded guilty to causing a woman's death by dangerous driving was yesterday refused permission by a judge to change his plea to not guilty.
Sheila Glass, 53, from Woodhouse Close Estate, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, was a back seat passenger in a Ford Fiesta driven by 50-year-old George Harvey, which collided with another car on the A688 Spennymoor to Bishop Auckland road on September 11, last year.
Harvey, of All Saints Road, Shildon, was remanded on bail for pre-sentence reports.
