FOUR Darlington students have won summer school places giving them a taste of university life.
The teenagers from Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College were selected by the Sutton Trust, which focuses on youngsters from families where there is no tradition of going to university.
The successful students are Gemma Roberts, James Freedman, Laura Kirkbride and Dean Murphy.
Gemma and James will go to Oxford University, with Gemma studying archaeology and anthropology and James exploring physics.
Laura will study sociology at Nottingham University and Dean will focus on engineering at Bristol.
