A PARACHUTE display team will drop in on a passing out parade at Catterick Garrison today.

The Red Devils are expected to land on the parade square at Helles Barracks to mark the end of training for young recruits from 682 (Oudna) and 682A (Arnhem) Platoons of the Parachute Regiment's Training Company. Awards will be also be presented by the British Army's Chief of Staff, General Sir Mike Jackson, who is also Colonel Commandant of the Parachute Regiment.

SUMMER FUN: Sports sessions are being extended to villages across Harrogate district this summer. Children aged six to 12 in Great Ouseburn, Kirk Hammerton, Kirkby Malzeard, Long Marston, Markington, Masham, Ripon and Tockwith are being offered the chance to take part in sessions which include football, tri-golf, baseball, rounders, tag rugby and kwik-cricket.

SAFETY CAMPAIGN: Hambleton's Community Safety Campaign is coming to Northallerton on Wednesday. The emergency services, district council, Broadacres Housing Association and Citizens Advice Bureau are just some of those attending the event in the Town Hall from 10am to 12.30pm.
