A GOVERNMENT minister was guest of honour at a North-East university.
Lord Sainsbury, Minister for Science and Innovation, delivered the first annual science and technology lecture at the University of Teesside.
University vice-chancellor Professor Graham Henderson said: "This event provides the opportunity for us to showcase the work or our School of Science and Technology and its increasingly important work in supporting both the university and the region.''
The minister toured the university's Innovation and Virtual Reality Centre, before delivering his lecture on the role of modern universities in supporting business, commerce and industry.
