FOOTBALL: After last night's game with UniBond Premier League, Whitby Town, Darlington RA have three more home pre-season matches.

The RA face two Northern League sides in Horden on Wednesday, July 23 (6.30pm) followed by Benfield Saints on Saturday, July 26 (3pm).

Their final Brinkburn Road warm-up match is at home to Shildon Railway on August 2 (3pm).

FOOTBALL: A TM Disco Crook and District League Select XI will take on Crook Town at the Crook Mill Field on July 26 in the first meeting of a proposed annual fixture.

All league clubs must be represented at the monthly meeting to be held at the Kings Head, Crook, on Tuesday at 7.30pm.

FIVES AND THREES: The Cleveland Club, members of The Darlington and District League, are looking for new players for the 2003-4 season. If interested, ring A Stainsby on (01325) 256584.

FOOTBALL: Teams are needed for a five-a-side league in Thornaby, Stockton and Middlesbrough, adult and junior leagues available, FA affiliated.

YOUTH CRICKET: Yorkshire County CC are again running the Enjoy Cricket scheme. Open to boys and girls from eight to 15 years of age, with or without experience.

Qualified coaches will give coaching and organise games with the accent being on fun.

The schemes are at: Middlesbrough CC, Green Lane, Acklam, from July 29-31.

Redcar CC, Kirkleatham Street, Redcar, from August 5-7.

Costing £1 and running from 10-1pm, there is no need to book, just turn up on the day.

FOOTBALL: Whitley Bay are holding a pre-season talk-in and barbecue on Thursday, July 24. All fans, current and potential sponsors, both big and small, are invited along to discuss the club's plans for the new season with the manager and directors.

On Saturday, July 26 they host last seasons FA Vase runners-up, AFC Sudbury (3pm) and a Newcastle United XI visit Hillheads on Tuesday, July 29.

There will be a Family Fun Day at Hillheads on Sunday, August 10 which will feature rides, games, food and entertainment for all the family.
