A MAN was killed as he crossed a busy dual carriageway in a towed car yesterday.
A Vauxhall Astra was pulling a Ford Escort southbound on the A19 and attempted to turn right, across the northbound carriageway, at the junction for Dalton Lodge, near Hartlepool.
A Citroen ZX car, travelling north, was in collision with the Escort, killing the driver.
Any witnesses should call police on (01642) 301552 or 326326.
