CHILDREN joined renowned cellist Julian Lloyd-Webber on stage when he played in the region Saturday.
Six young musicians were chosen to accompany him in a performance of I Don't Know How To Love Him, from Jesus Christ Superstar, at the Tees Barrage, Stockton.
Richmond soprano Shona Allen also performed during the evening, along with members of Durham Gala Theatre.
The children were Hayley Mitchell, of Sowerby, Thirsk, Victoria Brown, of Great Ayton, Richard Merrion, of Sowerby, Ryan Madhok, of Ellsmere Park, Manchester, Rebecca Brown, of Redcar and Alexander Warham, of Middlesbrough. Laura Weedy, of Teesville, Middlesbrough, and Harriet Bradshaw, of Darlington, were chosen as reserves.
