THREE school nurses who have become familiar faces to primary pupils have received recognition for their work.
Rosemary Simpson, Helen Smith and Paula Scott, who are based at Chester-le-Street Health Centre, have been regular visitors to Framwellgate Moor Primary School in Durham during the academic year.
Apart from the usual duties of administering inoculations and carrying out health checks, the women have tried to make their service more user friendly by taking part in fact-finding meetings with the school council.
Such has been the success of the link that the women, were each awarded an Investors in Children accreditation
