POLICE are investigating claims that a woman was subjected to a serious sexual assault at the weekend.
The woman told detectives she was attacked in the Clarence Drive area of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, between midnight and 1am on Saturday.
Police said she and a man walked to the spot from Parliament Street, in the town centre, then, after the alleged attack, walked back into town together, where she reported the incident.
The man was described as white, in his early 20s, 6ft tall and of proportionate build. He was wearing a blue polo shirt, jeans and trainers.
