ART students have been creating large models of everyday objects as part of their GCSE coursework.
The 34-strong group at Risedale Community College, Catterick Garrison, studied the work of artist Claus Oldenburg, who specialised in pop-art.
An American, he was famous for his oversized sculptures of everyday objects, including a hamburger and an ice-cream sundae.
The Catterick students first drew their objects and then made them from chicken-wire, cardboard and papier-mch.
Head of art Susan Ison said: "We have been doing this project now for a couple of years. The students really enjoy making the large sculptures. It gives them an opportunity to be creative."
"They look brilliant. They are of a very high standard and are currently on display in the school."
