DURHAM will be seeking their first away win under floodlights tonight when they visit Hove to play Sussex Sharks.

Although the hosts are riding high in second place of the County Championship division one, they are languishing next to the bottom of division two in the National League.

Durham's last scheduled one-day match at Hove two years ago was washed out, but a fine night is forecast for a match to be televised live on Sky Sports 1.

In their previous floodlit games away from home Durham lost by seven wickets at Worcester two years ago, despite a century from Nicky Peng, and at Headingley last year they lost by 28 runs. Replying to Yorkshire's 222, they slumped to 17 for four before a stand of 88 by the Pratt brothers, who will both be playing again tonight.

Wicketkeeper Andrew has been left out of the last five championship games, but was recalled for the last National League game at home to Northants.

He was out for one when asked to open the batting, but Phil Mustard has not been a success as a one-day opener either, other than in making 61 in the Twenty20 Cup game at Old Trafford.

Possibly because they are looking for a bit more stability at the top of the order, Durham have included Michael Gough in tonight's squad.

They left him out at the same time as dropping Pratt, for the C & G Trophy tie at home to Lancashire, and he has not featured in the one-day side since.

Sussex owe much of their four-day success to Pakistani leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed, but their one-day attack appears to lack firepower.
