END of term had a special significance for two teachers from a Catterick school.
Ann Aisbitt and Yvonne Sanderson said goodbye to Wavell Infants' School in Catterick Garrison for the last time on Friday.
Both are retiring after almost 50 years service between them. Mrs Sanderson, who has been at Wavell for 17 years, will split her time between home in England and another which the family have bought in France.
Mrs Aisbitt, who has been at the school for more than 25 years, will be remaining in the area, at her home in Hunton.
"It will be nice to have time, but I suspect things will feel a little strange around September when I would normally have been coming back to school," said Mrs Aisbitt.
