DISABLED great-grandfather Bert Moss overcame his fear of heights to give a major boost to an airborne lifesaving service.
The 90-year-old daredevil, who has no legs, took to the skies and leapt out of the aircraft for a tandem parachute jump - his second in five years.
But after landing safely at the air sports centre near Bridlington, East Yorkshire, the former accountant insisted enough was enough and said he would not be taking the plunge again.
Mr Moss, who lives in the Grosvenor House Residential Home, Harrogate, succeeded in raising about £2,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Mr Moss had to have his legs amputated because of circulation problems caused by diabetes. He developed vertigo shortly after his retirement.
His daughter, Brenda Black, said after his jump: "He was a bit shaken up by it this time but he's really pleased he did it. He's also delighted he managed to raise so much money for such a good cause."
