Graced with fine weather, the Lady Captain Liz Stubbs, had a very full day supported by her husband, Chris on this important day in her calendar.

The main competition played in a stableford format with a 7/8 handicap allowance was played over 18 holes, the second competition was a six hole round with irons played off white tees for the silver division and yellow tees for the bronze with the day completed by a putting competition.

The ladies were refreshed at the halfway house with cool Pimms and other deliquesces.

Ladies Club Championship: 36 holes of golf on a hot day proved a severe test for some Ladies but not for Gillian Petrie who having the previous week seen her handicap returned to four returned a gross 69 and not only set a new course record but also reduced her handicap to three. Well done Gillian!

Steve Sutton Memorial Trophy

A stableford competition with any pairing of players resulted in 47 points by Don Mackintosh and Arthur Keighley taking the top spot followed with 45 points by David and Jane Robinson.
