Housing staff on Darlington's Firthmoor estate are investigating four separate nuisance neighbour complaints.

The complaints are about noise and ball games being played outside people's homes.

CLEAN AWARDS: Seven jobseekers in Darlington have achieved NVQ Level One certificates in cleaning and support services at Darlington College of Technology. They were supported by Advanced Employment, an agency run by the Morrison's Enterprise Trust and Darlington Borough Council.

TREES SCHEME: An application to fell and prune trees included in a tree preservation order at 1A to 1B Milbank Road, Darlington, has been submitted to Darlington Borough Council.

CHRISTIAN AID: A collection for Christian Aid in Newton Aycliffe raised £5,034.
