SPRAIRE U16s travelled to Bishop Auckland to compete in a pre-season friendly against Bishops U16s.
Spraire Lads started the game strongly and after a penetrating run and cross by Lewis Webb from the right wing Alan Barr scored the first goal. Spraire Lads had numerous chances during the first half which they failed to convert into goals and on the stroke of half time Bishop equalised.
In the second half Scott MacDonald carried on his domination of the left side of the pitch and created a second goal for Alan Barr. After 60 minutes and some fine passing movements from midfield Alan Barr completed his hat trick.
Bishop made several substitutions and fought backl to 3-2 before Scott MacDonald and Tom McGee made the game safe at 5-2 for Spraire Lads. Well done the lads.
