CAMERONS is looking to capitalise on Americans' love of lager.
The Hartlepool brewer has shipped a container of its Scorpion Lager across the Atlantic, hot on the heels of a shipment of its Strongarm beer.
Mike Berriman, marketing director at Camerons, said: "British brewers expect to have some success when exporting ales to the USA but shipping a genuine UK lager is very much a novelty and demonstrates the quality of the liquid and the new packaging.
"The USA is strategically important to our overall export plan and I am delighted that we have secured such a large order for Scorpion Lager within weeks of sending out our first container of Camerons Strongarm."
