A WELL-KNOWN wildlife artist will hold an exhibition of his work in the region next week.
A selection of 35 paintings by Peter Reynolds will go on show at Newby Hall, near Ripon, North Yorkshire, from Thursday.
With price tags ranging from £75 to £1,800, his highly detailed work depicts British wildlife, with each species in its natural environment.
Mr Reynolds, who retired from West Yorkshire Police in 1992 to begin a new career as a painter, runs classes throughout North Yorkshire and workshops for the North York Moors National Park Authority at their visitor centres.
His exhibition, in the Grantham Room at Newby Hall, will be open until Sunday, September 28. Admission is free with entry to the gardens costing £5.70 for adults, £4.70 concessions and £4.20 children.
