POLICE have named a 28-year-old man found dead in his flat on Wednesday.
Keith Ian Andrew, of Middle Walk, Scarborough, was found at about 6.34pm, but as yet no cause of death has been established.
A 34-year-old local man appeared before Scarborough magistrates yesterday charged with assault.
Officers investigating Mr Andrew's death are still anxious for information about his final hours.
They would like to speak to any taxi driver who may have picked him up from the local train station and taken him to the Northstead area of town, between 5pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday.
Mr Andrew is described as white, with short brown hair and a goatee beard. He was wearing beige trousers and a blue and white checked shirt, possibly with the sleeves rolled up.
