A COMPANY director charged with possessing indecent images of children has been allowed to continue using the Internet for business purposes.

John Wrigley, 42, of Woodvale, Coulby Newham, near Middlesbrough, told Teesside Magistrates' Court he relied on e-mail for his work running a nursing home.

He had been banned from using the Internet as part of bail conditions following his arrest in Operation Ore, a US-led crackdown on paedophilia.

The court heard that Mr Wrigley had since been charged with eight counts of making indecent images of children.

Yesterday, magistrates agreed to relax the condition barring him from using e-mail so he could continue to work until his case is heard.

The case was adjourned until August 29 and Mr Wrigley was granted conditional bail.
