YOUNGSTERS are preparing to take part in a football tournament organised by a town's street wardens.
More than 70 five-a-side teams will take part in a knockout tournament organised by the wardens in Middlesbrough.
Heats take place on Monday to Wednesday with the finals for nine to 11-year-olds and 12 to 15-year-olds taking place at the town's Breckon Hill School on Thursday, at 2pm.
"It is an idea we came up with to give young people something enjoyable and constructive to do," said senior warden Bill Thompson.
"We have got more than 300 young people taking part this year and that speaks volumes for its popularity. We hope that people from their estates and communities will come along to the games, enjoy themselves and give the teams their support."
