JOBS could be created if plans to build a vehicle body- shop in Stockton are approved.
The plans to build the body- shop and associated works on part of undeveloped land, known as the Gun Site, which is within the North Tees Industrial Estate, will be discussed by members of Stockton Borough Council's planning committee on Friday.
The building will house workshops and spray booths for vehicle repairs, with offices and store on a mezzanine floor.
It is understood the facility will be used for accident repairs on behalf an insurance company, and will create about 54 jobs.
The plans are the first phase of development for the site and others are anticipated, with the council recently receiving an application to develop another area for a commercial vehicle dealership.
