THE funeral of a man who died when his son's car collided with another vehicle will take place on Thursday.
Father-of-four Norman Rayner, 48, of Acacia Gardens, Crook, County Durham, was a passenger in his son, Barrie's, car when the accident happened on a minor road between Willington and Binchester, last Wednesday. He died from multiple injuries.
He leaves two sons, Barrie, who is 24, and Paul, 21, and two daughters Leanne, 19, and Marie, 18.
Friends are asked to meet at St Philip and St James Church, Tow Law, at 1.15pm. This is followed by interment at Tow Law Cemetery.
Mr Rayner's estranged wife, Susan, said: "Norman was always proud to be a Tow Law lad. His mother died recently and she is buried at the cemetery, along with other family members. We are taking him home."
