IVESTON and Satley MXC stage a round of the British sidecarcross championship at Witton Castle on Sunday, when 23 of the top three-wheel exponents will race three times round the Tow Law track alongside the A68 trunk road.
All the North-East solo riders have entered and the club has almost been overwhelmed by the numbers wanting to race in classes B and C.
General secretary Ann Cairns said: "We do not want to turn any riders away. The classes may have to be split into four races to get everyone into the meeting".
The solo names include Keith Davison, Christian Muir, Jon Paul Peacock, Wayne and Keith Tindale, Steve Ramshaw and Anthony Softley.
In view of the large numbers taking part, the signing-on office will close at 9.30am prompt followed by practice at 9.45.
