POLICE believe a teenage cyclist who died after he collided with a double-decker bus may not have had brakes on his bike.
Andrew Atkinson, 15, of Villette Path, Sunderland, suffered serious head injuries when he was hit by the bus in Deptford Terrace, Sunderland, near the Queen Alexandra Bridge, on Monday night.
Police are still investigating, but said they believed the bike did not have brakes.
