PEOPLE have been invited to try their hand at making a sculpture next month.
The 18th annual Gateshead Family Sculpture Day is being held at Saltwell Park, in Gateshead, from 11am to 4pm, on Sunday, October 5, with people of all ages encouraged to go along.
All sculptors need to take to the event is a hammer, as professional sculptors will be on hand to help out and also provide wood and materials for the sculptures.
There will also be the chance to glaze tiles and at the end of the day, families can take away their sculptures.
There will also be live music. Visitors are invited to bring a picnic.
