COMMUNITY APPRAISAL: Information events to discuss the community appraisal in Stanley, Crook, will be held in Stanley Way Community Centre, Billy Row, on Thursday, at 6.30pm; Peases West School, Billy Row, next Monday, at 6.30pm; Sunniside Community Centre on Saturday, October 4, from 1pm to 3pm; and at Stanley Village Hall on Saturday, October 18, from 1pm to 3pm. A similar survey will be made in Howden -le-Wear, at a public meeting on Thursday, October 9, at 7pm, in the Community Centre.

TABLE SALE: A table-top sale will be held at St Catherine's Community Centre, Crook Market Place, today, at 9am.

COFFEE MORNING: A coffee morning in aid of the Macmillan Nurses will be held at the Methodist Church, Dawson Street, Crook, on Friday, from 9am to noon.

ART SESSIONS: Anyone over 16 who is interested in watercolours, oils, pen and ink or pencil art, should meet in the lounge at Howden-le-Wear Community Centre on Monday, at 7pm.
