A NEW supermarket in Stockton is a jobs success.
The Tesco Extra store in Durham Road, which is set to open in two weeks, has created 522 jobs in the community from the petrol station and cafe to security and check-out personnel.
Manger of the store, Tony Watson, said: "It is wonderful to see people taking up a career with Tesco, the response has been excellent."
Mr Watson also received the key to the door of the store from construction manager, Mark Davidson of Barr Construction this week. The store is to open at 8am on Monday, October 6, with an opening ceremony at 2pm the same day.
