STUDENTS from Stagecoach schools across the North-East have helped produce a single to be released on Monday.
The students were among 3,000 youngsters at Stagecoach schools from across the UK who came together in the audience at a charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall, in London.
The audience sang the chorus of Angel Looking Through, a song co-written by Penny Foster, who also sings lead vocals on the track and is a former Stagecoach student.
Fifty pence from each single sold will go to InterAct Inclusive Workshops, a performance workshop programme that aims to bring together special needs and mainstream youngsters.
Copies of the single will be available from www.amazon.co.uk, WH Smith and HMV.
Trudy Hindmarsh, the principal of Stagecoach, in Yarm and Darlington, said: "I started Stagecoach in the region and I am hoping that we will be able to start one of these InterAct groups locally within the next five years."
The profits from the concert went to Milly's Fund, to promote safety for young people. The fund is named after Milly Dowler, the murdered teenager from Walton-on-Thames, where Stagecoach's head office is based.
