Brandon Prince Bishop shared the points at home to Shildon Railway in an eight- goal thriller.

Kevin Hamilton put Shildon 2-0 up in the first 20 minutes, scoring the first with his head before beating the keeper with a shot from the edge of the penalty area. Graham Stobbs pulled a goal back for Brandon after, scoring a free kick from 20 yards. Brandon drew level when David Fort scored from another free-kick. Another goal five minutes later by Stobbs had Brandon 3-2 ahead. Steffan McGowan levelled it for Shildon but five minutes later Stobbs grabbed his third to give Brandon a 4-3 lead only for a last minute penalty for Shildon, converted by Kevin Hamilton for his hat trick.

Gateshead A beat Durham Victoria Bridge at home 2-1, David Lowery in 20 minutes and David Jeffers ten minutes later had Gateshead 2-0 up in the first half. Kane Hobson pulled a goal back for Durham Vic after 65 minutes.

Simonside Social Club were hit 6-0 at home to Coxhoe Athletic. The Social kept the score to 0-0 until the 63rd minute thanks to their keeper Jason Parvia saving shots from all angles until Ray Pettitean scored Coxhoe's first. In the 70th minute Coxhoe brought on super substitute Lee Thistlewaite who scored within a minute, then scored another three in 76, 77 and 82 minutes. Undefeated Hartlepool Town moved up the table with a 2-0 win away to Whitehill FC, Danny Charlton getting the first after 35 minutes and John Payne the second in 85 minutes.

The Ebchester versus Seaham Mallard game was abandoned after 65 minutes as Mallard's Barry Cougle was taken to hospital with a broken ankle with The Mallard were leading 1-0.

Belford House beat Birtley Town Reserves 2-0 in the League Challenge Cup thanks to a brace of goals from Gary Taylor. His first came in the first half when Graham Hunsworth. In goal for Birtley, dropped the ball at his feet to give him an easy tap in. His second was a fine header from a corner ten minutes into the second half.
