Barnes double: Pepper Draughting Services continued their march through the divisions with an 11-1 demolision of Berlins. Spinks was the only goalscorer for the home side while visitors' 11 goals came from Mark Brooks, Adam Hughes, Lee Hamond, Anth Aslett, two for Michael Jones and five for the in-form Gary Barnes.

The poor start to the season for The Northern Echo continued when they were beaten 4-1 at home by Middleton St. George, goals from Martin Dove, Jamie Langburn, Phil Ratchford and Michael Cairns all found the net for MSG in a game that produced some excellent football by both sides, the difference being the visitors' ability to find the back of the net and some first class goalkeeping by James Briggs. A John Graham penalty was all the Echo had to show for their efforts.

An evenly fought game between Copper Beech DCS and Canney Hill was decided by two long range strikes from man of the match Gary Varty which gave Canney Hill a 2-0 lead although a four-man move ended with Ged Callagan pulling a goal back.

Cleveland Bridge ran out winners away to Royal BL to maintain the excellent start. Goals were from Adam Wilson, Nathan Kemp, Danny Chapman and a hat-trick by Trenton Hewitt, with a solitary strike from Trevor Cooke gaining the only goal for RBL.

Peacocks Pub Co. took on the Hole in the Wall and were straight out of the blocks with three goals coming in the first half, two coming in the first ten minutes through defensive errors from the home side. This kick-started Hole in the Wall who created several chances and only an excellent performance by Wallace in the Peacocks goal kept the home side out.

The first half then proved to be very open but the visitors' third came after home keeper Trevor Shingler failed to hang on to a shot, Stephen Lambert, Michael Bland and Andrew McCormick were only on target in the first 45.

The second 45 were dominated by the Hole in the Wall, but even with Peacocks down to ten men Wallace continued to keep out the home side with a fine display of goalkeeping.
