CUP fever comes to Chester-le-Street with a derby match as the district's two women's teams meet in competitive action for the first time, on Sunday.

Northern League Division One leaders Chester-le-Street Town host neighbours Lumley Ladies, who top Division Two, in the second qualifying round of the Women's FA Cup.

Something has to give, as both teams have 100 per cent records in league and cup so far this season.

The more experienced Chester-le-Street team will be favourites, having reached the fifth round of the cup in 2001, where they missed out on a quarter-final tie with Aston Villa after losing narrowly at Bristol Rovers.

Lumley, only formed in May last year, won through with victory in their first-ever FA Cup tie, thanks to a 10-3 victory over Gateshead Cleveland Hall, in the first qualifying round, while Chester-le-Street romped to a 13-0 win at the same stage, at Kirklees in West Yorkshire.

Winners of Sunday's tie, 2pm kick-off, go into the draw for the 1st round proper.
