HURWORTH School Maths and Computing College celebrated its lower school pupils' achievements last night.

Pupils from years seven, eight and nine were joined by staff and parents for the celebration.

Headteacher Dean Judson, said: "We looked at everything from attendance, sporting achievements, pastoral awards, as well as academic achievement.

"There is a culture of success in the school and a major part of that is the partnership between pupils, staff and parents, so it is right for us to come together and celebrate that."
