AMATEUR historian Ian Pearce, who has written a book about a Second World War plane crash in the hills above Great Ayton, near Middlesbrough, will be available for book signings at three venues.
His book is published today to coincide with a memorial service and plaque unveiling at the site of the crash, on Easby Moor, close to a famous monument to Captain James Cook.
The signings will be at Great Ayton Library on Saturday, from 10.30am to 11.30am, Guisborough Bookshop today, between 11am and 1pm and Broadway Books in Stokesley next Saturday, between 10.30am and 11.30am.
The book is called Lost on Easby Moor and costs £9.95.
