Easington notched their second win of the season, when they surprised leaders Durham HQ.
The match was a very close affair and it was Easington who ran out odd goal in three winners, coming from behind in the process. Dave Oliver gave HQ a first half lead, with a rasping shot from 18 yards, only for that to be cancelled out by an Allen Richardson penalty before the interval. It took a heavily deflected shot to break the deadlock with Richardson credited with his second.
Stockton reduced HQ's lead at the top, when they crushed understrength Durham Fire 7-1. Chris Green made a massive impact, scoring five goals. Paul Ryder and Jimmy Allen scored the others while the Fire's goal was an own goal.
Langbaurgh continued their recovery, winning 3-1 at Frankland. Paul Brown scored two of the goals, with Matt Lymer getting the other. Frankland staged a late fightback and Jamie Tucknutt pulled one back.
Both Derwentside and Sedgefield failed to raise teams in their fixtures against Newcastle and Tyne & Wear.
