Thornaby Mandale 4 South Bank U. 4: Thornaby Mandale and South Bank United shared the points as United came back from the dead in the last 15 minutes.

Things looked good for the visitors when Anthony Gregory gave them the lead on ten minutes but by half time they trailed 2-1 as first Bradley Murray then Andrew Dyson put Mandale ahead. Stephen Lamb met a cross from the left wing to increase Mandale's lead and when Andrew Dyson fired home from the penalty spot on sixty five minutes there did not appear to be any way back for United. Fifteen minutes from time however, substitute Graham Cousans was brought down in the area and Terry Strange did the honours from the penalty spot. Minutes later, Strange headed home a centre from a Gregory free kick and with the last kick off the game, Tony Leach headed home the equaliser following a pin point centre by Cousans from the bye line.

British Steel Sp. 12 Black Horse 1

British Steel Sports did their goal difference a power of good at the expense of the Black Horse with Steve McCabe hitting six goals. Kenny Walker started the goal spree when he ran from the half way line before shooting from the edge of the area and it was not long before Mark Sherwood added a second when he got on the end of a centre from James Joyce. The goals continued to flow with David Whitfield scoring twice and McCabe hitting a hat-trick. Black Horse pulled a goal back but in reply Whitfield took his tally for the game to four and McCabe improved on his first half hat trick with another three goals.

PJS 1 Woodman's Arms 10

Another side to hit double figures were the Woodman's Arms. Geoff Maloney turned in a man of the match performance hitting four goals while Paul Ritchie and Paul Reed contributed two goals apiece. Matthew Batty and Mark Jones completed the scoring for the Woodies while Malcolm Puttick hit PJS's consolation goal.

Linx Hemlington 1 Ennis Square 1

A very even first half ended goalless despite chances going begging at both ends. Ennis finally broke the ice when they scored on the but Linx kept pressing and were rewarded when Peter King lobbed the keeper from 30 yards out.

South Park Rangers 2 M'brough PO 3

Middlesbrough PO took full advantage of Ennis's slip to move top although they needed a last minute penalty after twice going behind.

Michael Clark tapped home from close range to give Rangers the lead before the Posties equalised when John Simon put Ian Mills through. Chris Watson restored Rangers advantage with a thundering 25-yarder before Post Office bounced back when Mills set up Simon who made no mistake from the edge of the area. The second period saw Alan Wigglesworth in the Post Office goal pulling off a string of fine saves to keep Rangers at bay.

In the last minute however, Post Office were awarded a spot kick which Simon gratefully converted.

North Skelton Village 1 Kings Head 4

Some of the performances that North Skelton Village have being turning in recent weeks bear no relation to their lowly league position.

It was a similar situation last weekend when, following a goalless first half, they took the lead when Lee Preston lifted the ball over the advancing King's Head keeper. It was not until mid way through the second period that King's Head found the back of the net through Steve Smith and minutes later, they took the lead when Johnny May fired home. King's Head took control of the game when Paul Round scored following a defensive mix up and Matthew Swales wrapped up the scoring with ten minutes remaining.

Coulby Newham 0 St Mary's Coll. OB 6

Coulby Newham had no answer to a rampant St. Mary's College side that scored four times before the break with Coulby unable to stem the onslaught. With the points effectively in the bag, the College eased up in the second period with just two goals being added to their toatal.

Thornaby Village 5 NS Bulls Head 3

Two Geoff Belt goals got Thornaby off to a flying start although Bull's replied before half time. After the break Dean Melville slotted the ball into an empty net. A second Bull's Head goal kept them in touch until mid way through the half when Belt struck again before setting Melville up for his second. Bull's Head got a third late on.
