Winter Stableford: The first competition of the winter season took place last Sunday and an entry of 70 golfers proved the popularity of competitive golf over the winter months.
Card countbacks were required to identify the placings in the results.
Division One: 43 points John Gatenby (11); 38 Terry Jobling (11).
Division Two: 40 Howard Dawson (18); 38 Arthur Richmond (20) and Peter Eyles (19).
Division Three: 38 Geoff Brownlee (21) and Neil Exelby (21).
Senior Stableford
A fine Friday morning encouraged a large turnout of elderly gentlemen to enter this week's competition at the new 8.30am start as opposed to 8am starting time in force before the clocks are altered. With a fine morning for them to enjoy their golf.
Leading scores: 39 points Bill Coom (19); 38 Ian Hodgson (20); 35 Cedric Tideswell (24) and Les Oyston card countback required.
