NURSERY children in Darlington were granted their wish to go to the ball as part of a books and stories project.
The Just Learning Nursery, in Newton Lane, used the fairytale Cinderella as the basis for several sessions.
Children made invitations for the ball and used the example of Cinderella losing all her magic at midnight to learn about time.
They made a photographic diary to illustrate events that happened to them at different times of the day.
The week finished off with Cinderella's Ball and the youngsters dressed up and danced to classical music.
