North-East singers are flying to America after being invited to take part in Disney World's Christmas parade.

The 30 singers, from Newcastle, are with the entertainment company Sing Live North East, which trains amateur singers to professional standards. They will join singers from Sing Live companies around the country and fly out to Florida next week to sing in the Candlelight Processional, at Epcot, and take part in Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade.

BUREAU SESSIONS: Drop-in advice sessions will be held by Durham Citizens Advice Bureau today at Ushaw Moor Community House, from 10am to 11.30am; Quarrington Hill Community Centre, from noon to 1pm; and at Cassop Community Centre, from 1.15pm to 2.15pm.
