TWO more charges have been brought against an African asylum seeker living in the North-East who has appeared in court charged with deliberately infecting women with the HIV virus.
Musician Feston Goodwell Konzani, 27, from Malawi, Africa, is already facing three counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to three women.
Yesterday, police said he had been charged with a further two counts of the same offence. He will appear before Teesside magistrates on December 8.
One of the offences is alleged to have taken place this year and another between 1999 and last year.
A resident of Middlesbrough, he last appeared in court on November 11 when he was also charged with having unlawful sex with a girl under 16.
His alleged victims, relating to the first three charges, include a teenager from Middlesbrough, and two other women - a 26-year-old and a 25-year-old.
It is understood that two of the women have since given birth to his children. However, it is not known if the children have contracted the virus.
Mr Konzani was arrested on Monday, less than a month after Mohammed Dica was jailed for eight years at Inner London Crown Court.
He is currently in custody.
