PUPILS have been rewarded for their work by Darlington Rotary Club at the club's annual awards ceremony, which has taken place for nearly 50 years.
Pupils nominated by teachers for exemplary conduct and school service were presented with books by club president Peter Tindale
They were: Yehya El Awage and Samantha Hird, Beaumont Hill School; Dennis Rowland, Branksome Comprehensive School; David Trenholme, Carmel RC Technology College; Sarah Louise Atkins, Eastbourne Comprehensive School; Helen Knight, Haughton Comprehensive School; Sacha Buckley, Hurworth Comprehensive School; Jennifer Mulholland, Longfield Comprehensive School; and Sara Wood, of Polam Hall School for Girls.
