Seniors: Two further competitions continuing the festive theme following the Turkey Trot have now been played.
Stableford No 1
With Christmas puddings supplied by club vice-captain and well known specialist grocer Tony Howard, seniors competed with enthusiasm for this Friday's competition to further defray their costs of Christmas. Card countbacks were required to identify the top placings: 35 points Alan Wilkins (16) and Alec Crow (15); 34 David Hoult (16) and Roger Hole (13).
Stableford No 2
With only the drinks to complete this festive season, members this week brough wrapped bottles of alcoholic beverages to play for so that everyone went home with a prize, but for the top position an additional reward was also given.
Leading scores: 39 points Les Kitching (10); 38 Brian Knapton (12); 36 John Carr (15); 35 Alf Cooper (22).
