IN an attempt to create the region's newest forest, people have been invited to plant a tree at Bulmer Park, in east Durham, tomorrow.
The 315-acre Bulmer Forest Park is part of the Great North Forest project.
The free event takes place from 10am to 2pm at the forest, between Murton and Seaham. Organisers plan to eventually plant the park with about 180,000 trees.
Funding has come from the Forestry Commission.
