DETECTIVES investigating the murder of Scott Pritchard have made a last appeal to people seen on security cameras, who have yet to come forward.

Scott was found unconscious with head injuries outside the back gate of his home in Lindsay Close, Hendon, at about 7pm, on Wednesday, January 7.

Security TV images of five people, drawn from footage which detectives are studying, will be released to the public by Northumbria Police today if they do not come forward.

Detective Superintendent Ian Sharp, who is leading the investigation, said last night: "We have had a fantastic amount of help from the local community which we do appreciate.

"But we do need these people to come forward and they should be ashamed of themselves for not contacting us.

"They were in the area at the time of Scott's death and could have information which may not seem important but could help our investigation.

"I can reassure them that everything will be dealt with in the strictest confidence."

More than 350 statements have been taken and thousands of leaflets and posters put up in the area.
