THE restored Georgian Theatre Royal has announced details of its spring season.
More than 30 events are planned at the Victoria Road venue, which won the Stage Award for Special Achievement in Regional Theatre last year.
A performance by Uzbeckistan pianist Evgania Rubinova, the world premiere of Iain Heggie's Sauchiehall Street by Vanishing Point Theatre and a performance of Bullie's House, penned by Booker prize-winner Thomas Keneally, are among the highlights.
The theatre also maintains its close links with British theatre, including a collaboration with Northern Broadsides, which stages a production of Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice.
"The reopening season in August broke records with the 214-seat theatre selling over 6,000 seats,'' said manager Vaughn Curtis.
"This is now the best space for theatregoers to enjoy quality chamber theatre and music in northern England. The Georgian is rapidly becoming a coveted date for leading producers.''
